Still brutal after all these years.
Challenged every notion of what a painting was supposed to be.
Considered the fulcrum on which Modern Art balances.

  1. Some of the African masks that Picasso would have seen circa 1900 are on display at the Orangerie in Paris. Thank you, Stephen, for not just teaching art, but teaching us how to connect the dots.
